The EtherMidi Interface is a 4x4 MIDI Interface to be
connected to a PC or directly
to a Dmatrixx Core via Ethernet. The interface can be connected
anywhere within the network enabling MIDI communication through
one or multiple ports. The MIDI-interface ships with a Windows XP
compatible standard MIDI-driver. The driver is able to host as
much Ethermidi interfaces as connected to the network,
showing the available Number of MIDI-In and outputs to the
application. Anytime a new box is connected to the system, the
driver can add its 4 MIDI IN and outputs to the existing ones.
More PC can simultaneously access different but not the same
Ethermidi interfaces within the network.
The Ethermidi Interface offers not only the possibility to
transport MIDI-commands
over large distances on a single cable to multiple MIDI-ports or
the ability to move
a dedicated MIDI IN- or OUT to a certain physical location, but it
also gives a
wireless LAN notebook user the advantage of moving around adding
the possibility
to use MIDI system wide with no additional cable attached to the
computer.
