Impressions' DVZ® Strings 2.1 is a
high-resolution, 70-piece, string orchestral
sample library designed under the direction of
an ASCAP award-winning film and TV composer to
create fully accurate MIDI mock-ups for feature
films and episodic TV. It delivers the
real-world note distribution and balances of
live musicians with unparalleled realism. DVZ
strings is designed to operate in real time
without the workflow interruptions that are
caused by repeatedly having to unload then load
different samples on stacks of computers.
All possible
combinations of ensembles, playing styles and
effect for every instrument are included and
logically implemented. They include: Legato,
Crescendo/Decrescendo, Staccato, Pizzicato,
Bartôk Pizzicato, Col Legno, Tremolando,
Measured Tremolando, Harmonics, Ricochet,
Flautando, Marcato, Vibrato/Non-vibrato,
Spiccato, Jeté, Trills, Con Sordino, Sul Tasto,
and Sul Ponticello and continuously variable
Glissando, Portamento and Clusters. All are
readily available on startup, with full
automation capability.
There are 70
string instruments total, arranged as 35
individually selectable two-instrument desks or
“players.” To keep overall sound power properly
balanced, DVZ Strings is logically
divided into five sections with proportionally
decreasing numbers of instruments in each
(although you can individually deactivate as
many players in each section as you wish down to
1 or even no desks):

Included with
DVZ Strings V2.1 is SPACE, which allows
you to adjust to any size room and place
individual players anywhere within the virtual
environment. Also included at no extra charge is
AudioPort™, Audio Impressions' proprietary
system for sending digital audio over Gigabit
Ethernet to your Mac or PC Sequencer computer.
This version of AudioPort uses the same
sequencer plug-ins as
AudioPort
Universal, but the Host is specially
optimized for use with DVZ Strings 2.1.
You have
separate stereo section stems as well as a
complete stereo or surround mix with discrete
Decca Tree, just like a live session and support
sequencer plug-ins in Steinberg VST and Apple AU
formats. Audio is sent to your Mac or PC
sequencer via Gibabit Ethernet using our
included AudioPort technology, eliminating the
need for costly audio I/O on each sampler.
DVZ
Libraries are ideal for use in music education
and will benefit anyone that wishes to use
computers to create music. Future releases will
include: Winds, Brass, Percussion, Keyboards,
Guitars, Drum Kits, Musical Atmospheres and
more. Our dealers and distributors will be
offering DVZ Strings 2.1 in turnkey
systems, pre-installed on two samplers (at 44.1
or 48 kHz), along with a secondary LAN network
and everything needed to connect to your
sequencer. In this way you'll be up and running
quickly and will be assured of optimum
performance with the added benefit of a single
point of contact for hardware and software tech
