The fast and easy way to encode
stereo audio into Dolby Digital. SurCode Dolby V-Plug converts your stereo
soundfiles to Dolby Digital encoded files in the .ac3 or .wav format from
within Adobe Premiere as a plug-in. Why Encode? The audio track of a DVD-Video consumes a large amount of disk space. For example, two hours of audio (at 48kHz 16-bit stereo) uses nearly 1.4GB of the DVD's 4.3GB of space. Dolby Digital encoding is an excellent option for audio on a DVD-Video disc (and other media) because it reduces the size of the audio files typically by a ratio of 8:1, yet still achieves excellent sound quality. SurCode Dolby V-Plug can free up considerable space on the disc to allow for more video. Audio encoded with V-Plug fully complies with all Dolby Digital (AC-3) specifications, so the encoded files will accurately playback (decode) with any Dolby-Digital-capable receiver or stand-alone decoder. Requires Adobe Premiere for Windows (Version 6.0 or higher).

MIN-Surcode MLP |
Meridian Lossless Packing (MLP) is
an encoding system designed to compress high-resolution audio with
bit-for-bit accuracy. Unlike the perceptual, or lossy audio date reduction
systems used in DVD-Video authoring (Dolby Digital, DTS), MLP guarantees not
to alter the final decoded signal in any way. Why encode? MLP has two main benefits:
ReBit, an exclusive feature only found in SurCode's MLP encoder, enables users, in extreme cases, to avoid the necessity of re-mastering their material in order to pass through the MLP encoding process.
