Magnetismus

you have to hear it to believe it!

The MAGNETISMUS works with a completely novel circuit in order to process audio signals. No “tube sound” or simulated “tape saturation”.

On the other hand the MAGNETISMUS is neither a conventional compressor. In fact it is frequency dependent dynamic processing - optimised for percussion-like signals (drums, percussion, guitars or similar). Level peaks are absorbed and get “rounded”. Thus you can use the whole modulation range (resolution) of your A/D conversion. The signal processed gets more punch and profile, hence it´s easier to handle in further processes. Plus it is much more powerful in the mix.

The handling is as simple as the effect itself is unique. With the FLUX-MODE-switch you can define the processing´s sound character. The input controller is responsible for the strength of conditioning. And with the output controller you can adjust the level to subsequent devices.

Magnetism

is a fundamental physical phenomenon characterised by attracting and repulsing power between magnets, magnetisable items and electric conductors. Finally all manifestations of magnetism are based on motion of electric charges or spin of elementary particles. Magnetism is part of electro magnetism which is one of the four fundamental forces in physics.

And what has this to do with audio signals? More than you think!

Audio signals running through the MAGNETISMUS establish a relationship with each other again. For instance a drum set does no longer sound like single drums and cymbals but again like a closed instrument. And the voices of single vocalists merge to a chorus.
